Indonesia: Changes to Foreign Testing Center Approvals for Telecom Equipment Certification

The Director General’s Decree No. 109 of 2024, which established foreign testing centers for the certification of telecommunication equipment and devices,  expired on December 31, 2024. Starting January 1, 2025, test result reports (LHU) issued by these foreign testing centers will no longer be valid for certification purposes until new regulations are issued.

Transition Period and Certification Process

According to the Minister of Communication and Informatics Regulation No. 5 of 2024, LHUs issued before January 1, 2025, will remain valid for certification purposes for an additional six months. After this period, only reports from newly approved testing centers will be accepted.
