Technical Specifications

The updated standard outlines specific technical requirements for telecommunication equipment in this frequency range. These requirements are intended to ensure safe and effective operation of devices that utilize these frequencies.

Power Spectral Density (PSD) Limits:

  • Indoor Use: Maximum 250 mW (12.5 mW/MHz).
  • Indoor and Outdoor Use: Maximum 25 mW (1.25 mW/MHz).
  • Duty Cycle Requirements: Additional duty cycle constraints for bandwidths under 20 MHz in accordance with standards in Section 2.1.2 (2)

Accepted Test Reports

The NBTC has expanded the accepted testing criteria for equipment operating in this frequency band. In addition to the previously accepted FCC Part 15.407 standard, the ETSI EN 303 687 V1.1. or newer is now accepted for type approval applications.
