The Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFETEL) in Mexico will be suspending its activities for two weeks in July and another two weeks in December this year.
During these periods, no certificates will be issued, and no reviews will be performed, which means a delay of two weeks on top of the standard lead times for any processes started within these dates.
The specific dates for the suspension are as follows:
- July 22nd to August 2nd (inclusive)
- December 19th to January 3rd (inclusive)
This annual suspension is a regular occurrence, and the detailed calendar for this year can be accessed here.
Companies and individuals involved in certification processes with IFETEL should plan accordingly to accommodate these delays. Make sure to submit your applications well in advance to avoid any inconvenience due to the suspension periods.
