1. Automatic Suspension of Expired Certificates

The e-ComM system has been enhanced to automatically suspend Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) by SIRIM QAS International that have expired for more than six (6) months. As per clause 4.3 of the Certification Agreement eTAC/DOC/01-1, the system will initiate suspension, with prior notice provided to the Certificate Holder. Failure to take action within fourteen (14) working days will lead to SIRIM recommending cancellation to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

2. Renewal Process Instructions

Renewal of CoCs can only be facilitated through the SIRIM account of the Certificate Holder or the consultant’s account who originally applied for approval.

3. Prerequisites for Renewal

Renewal is contingent upon the presence of an importation or product registration record in the system for the model mentioned. If no importation or registration occurred during the validity period, completion of the Request for Information (RFI) form is mandatory. This form should detail the reasons and corrective measures for the absence of importation or registration.

For more information and access to the RFI form template, please refer to the official SIRIM announcement: SIRIM Announcement
