Malaysia: Cancellation of 3400 – 3700 MHz Frequency Band Class

Beginning June 1, 2025, Malaysia's Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will implement a new policy banning the use of Fixed-Satellite Service Earth Stations and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Communication Devices within the 3400 MHz to 3700 MHz frequency band.

This decision, following the cancellation of the class assignment under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, means that all equipment and devices operating in this frequency range will no longer be approved for use or application in Malaysia.

Companies involved in the production, import, or operation of such devices must ensure they comply with this new regulation by the effective date. This includes halting the use of equipment within the affected frequency band and preparing for the transition to avoid disruptions.
