Important Points of Regulation
- Charging and Data Transfer: Devices that are wired for charging or simultaneous charging and data transfers must feature a USB Type-C receptacle connector.
- Effective Date: The regulation will take effect on February 14, 2025. However, the requirement for laptops (Article 2, Paragraph 13) will not come into effect until April 1, 2026.
- Review and Updates: The regulation will be reviewed for validity every three years, starting January 1, 2025, with potential improvements made based on the review.
