The Telecommunications and ICT Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI) has detected falsified approval certificates for telecommunications and ICT equipment circulating in the market.
These counterfeit certificates, which falsely claim to be issued by ARTCI, may mislead both consumers and operators. ARTCI adheres to strict and transparent procedures for equipment approval, as outlined in Decree No. 2013-301. Falsifying these certificates is a serious violation of the law and compromises consumer safety and trust.
ARTCI states they condemn these actions and will investigate and prosecute those responsible. Consumers should ensure that their telecommunications equipment is officially approved by checking the approved equipment list on the ARTCI website: www.artci.ci.
Manufacturers, operators, and traders are reminded that all telecommunications equipment must be approved by ARTCI before being marketed, as per article 83 of Order No. 2012-293.
