The Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control of Iraq (COSQC) recently announced the new labeling language requirements for products entering the Iraqi market.
As of May 14, 2024, all products sold in Iraq must be labeled in Arabic and English and include the label shown on the right. This applies to all product types, regardless of category, seeking access to the Iraqi market.
The new labeling rule applies to amendments of national and factory standards, lab specifications, and technical regulations issued before May 31, 2023.
