2. Acceptance of ILAC Test Reports

TEC has specified that for certain product categories, test reports issued by ILAC accredited laboratories from non-border sharing countries will be accepted until June 30, 2024. These categories include:

  • Base Station for Cellular Network for 5G
  • 5G Core
  • Hypervisor
  • E-band fixed radio relay systems

3. Validity of ILAC Reports

It’s important to highlight that TEC will acknowledge ILAC reports from non-border sharing countries only if they have been issued within two years from the application submission date.

For stakeholders in the telecommunication industry or those considering entry into the Indian market, staying abreast of these modifications is crucial. These revisions by TEC aim to streamline the certification process, ensuring that high-quality telecommunication equipment is made available to consumers in India.
