Holiday Closures for Regulatory Agencies – Brazil, Mexico, India, South Africa & Costa Rica

As the holiday season approaches, many regulatory agencies around the world observe scheduled closures that may impact business operations and regulatory processes. To help you stay informed and plan accordingly, we’ve compiled the official closure dates for agencies in Brazil, Costa Rica, India, South Africa, and Mexico. These closures could affect certification processes, approvals, and other regulatory activities, so it’s important to know when these agencies will be unavailable.

Brazil

The following Brazilian holidays in 2025, as they may impact the lead time for completing your certification. During these holidays, most laboratories and Certification Bodies (OCDs) typically suspend operations. Additionally, December and January are summer months in Brazil, a common vacation period for many professionals, including those at ANATEL and OCDs. As a result, delays in the homologation process are more likely early in the year.
