The implementation of 5G technology is a collaborative effort between the Ghanaian government and technology companies, including Ascend Digital, K-NET, Nokia, Radisys, and Tech Mahindra, to build the necessary digital infrastructure.

The introduction of 5G is expected to enhance mobile broadband access for all citizens and open new opportunities across various sectors, including education, healthcare, and commerce.

Ghana’s upcoming launch comes amidst a mixed landscape of 5G adoption in Africa, with countries like South Africa and Kenya advancing quickly, while others face challenges such as infrastructure limitations and regulatory hurdles.
