Upcoming Dates for Compliance
The notice outlines a clear timeline for the introduction and enforcement of CCC certification requirements:
- March 1, 2025: Certification bodies will begin accepting applications for CCC certification of EV power supply equipment. The product scope and definitions are provided in the accompanying attachment to the notice.
- August 1, 2026: EV power supply equipment without CCC certification or certification marks will no longer be permitted for manufacturing, sales, import, or use in business activities.
Certification Requirements
Designated certification bodies and laboratories will adhere to specific guidelines to implement the new requirements:
- Certification Rules: Certification bodies must develop detailed implementation rules based on the CCC Certification General Rules and submit them to the Certification and Supervision Department for approval before starting certification work.
- Conformity Assessment: Existing conformity assessment results will be incorporated wherever feasible to reduce burdens on enterprises. Certification risks must remain controllable, and quality standards must be upheld.
- Support for Enterprises: Efforts will be made to facilitate the certification process, ensuring businesses can meet the requirements efficiently while minimizing compliance costs.
